Bharti School of Telecommunication Technology & Management, IIT Delhi

The Bharti School of Telecommunication Technology & Management was established through a joint initiative between IIT Delhi and Bharti Enterprises, with a vision to develop telecom leaders through excellence in education and research. The school has emerged as one of the premier education centers in the country. It offers specialized courses in telecommunications and has benefitted hundreds of students through its M.Tech, MS (Research), MBA, and Ph.D. programs since inception.

The Airtel IIT Delhi Centre of Excellence in Telecommunications (AICET) was launched in December 2007 through a tripartite MoU between the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India, IIT Delhi, and Bharti Airtel Ltd., during the India Telecom 2008 inauguration ceremony, presided over by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. AICET focuses on ‘Telecom Technology and Management’ with global excellence standards and covers a broad spectrum of topics including existing and emerging technologies, growth prediction, and technology adaptation in the Indian context, as well as application development using multiple technologies.

Bharti Merit Awards – These awards are given annually to the top three students of the M.Tech and MBA programs with a focus on telecommunications. In addition, two top-performing MBA students (with a focus on telecommunication systems management) receive fellowships for 10 months. An outstanding female student is also awarded the Best Woman Graduate Award during the same period.

Bharti Airtel Scholarship – To enhance enrollment in M.Tech, MS (Research), and Ph.D. programs, the Bharti Airtel Scholarship Program has been established for deserving students. Effective from the 2025 session, this need-based scholarship supports select students in M.Tech, MS (Research), and Ph.D. programs. This support is in addition to the existing financial assistance offered by IIT Delhi. Preference is given to female students.
